Players Only Meeting...
Here’s my thing about the Lakers. I was listening to Plascke this morning and basically, Kobe and the team doesn’t like Mike Brown’s system. Pretty obvious. And he said Jeanie Buss has only gone to 4 games this season and that Jim Buss is doing a bad job hiring and adding players and coaches. But did they really think Phil Jackson was going to coach them all the way to his grave? Even if they hired Brian Shaw, I don’t think he was gonig to use the Triangle offense. Are these players one-sided? They can only function in the Triangle? Come on, stop whining!
I’m not defending Mike Brown, but it looks really dysfunctional out in Lakerland and Brown and his staff shouldn’t get this heat from their players. Along with their “fans”, the players should stop reliving the past and move forward.
On another note, the chants of “Beat LA” shows that our Clippers are relevant. I hope we get more consistency out of our players so we can start resting players like the Spurs.

"Kobe and the team doesn’t like Mike Brown’s system"
maybe they should try running the Kobe System
lol

Lol
Hengtime81 - February 22, 2012
They should try did the VDN system!
they would be glad to go back to the mike brown system after that.

When other fans start chanting 'Beat LA" while playing against their home team, you
know that we have become relevant.
lovinglosangeles - February 22, 2012
not the first time
teams chanted those during the brand cassell days. maybe im wrong but i thnk fans also did that at least once last year.
cliptakular - February 22, 2012
in 06, all those suns fans with "beat la" t-shirts
got to reuse those shirts against us

defense
First time commenting and just wanted to point out some frustration. Dj has been a complete garbage player with absolutely no basketball fundamentals. This team us losing all these winnable games to poor rotation and jumping jack dj needs to learn how to box out. If only dj can okay as hard as evans he will be top center. U really hope the cut gomes, cook and these unproductive e players. I want too see them win tonight. I’m a long time fab and cab no except losing
PlayD - February 22, 2012 via mobile
THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
DJ has contributed to help keeping what pathetic team defense we have at the very least average. Evans gets heavy scar rebounds but between the shot-blocking and being a threat on the pick and roll you got to be f*cking kidding me. Compared to everyone else DJ only recent terrible game was the Cavs and even though Vinny loves to use Martin in the fourth those games still are not close because no helps rotate with Martin and he himself has not been rebounding well but using his scoring.
Calm the crap down Jordan is far from the biggest problem this team has try kepping scrubs out of the paint from attacking on the perimeter first or our scorers actually scoring beyond one quarter and as a team.
KillaClip - February 22, 2012
welcome to the Clippers!
there is a lot to learn….not only in basketball savyness 101, clippers history & trends 200, but probably remedial english for you as well
anyways, thanks for checking us out and welcome again.
it’s different here than over with the Lakers right?

Haha my auto spell is messing up my typing on my phone idiots. I’m a fan since 1989 so don’t assume I’m a laker fan since I hate them with passion. I usually read and never really post. You guys seem to except medicority from players under achieving. I guess losing for so long makes you except anything. Next time you can’t except others opinion here don’t bother responding.

Other's opinions?
We know DJ has problems, but he is anything but a garbage player. And the fact that you are distancing yourself from other Clips fans shows me that you really haven’t been a fan since 1989. What, now are you going to quiz me on some Clipper trivia? Please. We all hate when DJ jumps, but he is a leading shot blocker and he has much to learn. He is far from perfect, but to claim that he is “mediocre” is just a joke. Please, don’t bother responding hear on Clippernation if you plan to get in catfights with other members after you call out someone on our roster.

long time fan and I can not accept losing
Well, are you a longtime Lakers fan? Spurs fan? Mavs fan?
Cause, uh… we haven’t been over .500 in a few years buddy. We might complain about a certain player, or a specific game, but if you told this blog 6 months ago, “6 months from now, the Clippers will be ahead of the Lakers in the standings and 19-11”, we would have all taken it.
LJ Hann - February 22, 2012
is that last line suppose to say "im a long time fan and can not accept losing"?
because there is no long time clipper fan that cant accept losing.
T_Silk - February 22, 2012
With a team that has Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Caron Butler, and DeAndre Jordan
Losing seems to be pretty tough

No oone accepts losing unless a team is tanking and playing young players to develop
Even then you want them to build a winning attitude by winning.

No one wants Gomes though
Erik O - February 22, 2012
I think at this point
other teams would prefer a swift kick in the nuts than to take on Gomes
SchmidttyMcFunstuff - February 22, 2012
wouldn't anyone
I mean, I kick in the nuts, a few hours of naseua at the most, or 8 million dollars for the next two years?
However, they save money because SJax has an even worse deal.

that the lakers also have a couple more losses than us

Why do people assume that the Clippers have "Championship Title" on their minds?
Sure, we think we have a chance to contend, but that doesn’t mean we are expecting an easy breeze to the finals, especially with how rough the West is, not to mention how powerful Chicago and the Heat seem. So do I think we have a better shot than the Lakers? Of course. But do I have championship on my mind? Not at all.
SurfinQ00 - February 22, 2012
+1
I think all 4 teams in top of each conference have a legitimate shot at the title, but doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, and generally the 3-4 seeds would have to have some pretty epic games for it to come to fruition. Are the clips a favorite to come out of the west, no way. Is there a chance? Sure why the hell not, at least a much better chance than last year.
osamu - February 22, 2012
I had a championship on my mind for about one week before Billups was injured
Basically around the time when we beat OKC.
agolden - February 22, 2012
I do!
But only if we trade Ryan Gomes for Dwight Howard!
