Interesting piece on ESPN about timeouts and offense.
Maybe there's a reason that college coaches call timeouts after a score to set up their defense?

considering VDN’s play calling ability it doesn’t make sense to call a time out. Better to just let CP3 make a quick read and go (plus you preserve a timeout if you need to extend the game).

Even after a time out, the play is, “Chris Paul, read the defense and go.”
Inbound to blake posting up, inbounder run off of a screen for a three at the top.
If the inbounder doesn’t get open… well… that’s not my job to worry about it.
