I suppose this might be construed as schadenfreude, but last night's loss left us with a collective hangover... at least we're not as bad off as the Lakers... right?
It sounds like they boys are trying to take the money and run
So in the final years of DTS life, he is channeling his inner Jerry Buss while the Lakers are channeling their inner DTS. I hope we when this year because it starting to look like Dec 2012 is a reality. lol.
Olshey should hire the Lakers ex assistant GM Ronnie Lester
who was coldly let go by Jim Buss last summer after many years of loyal/outstanding service. If DTS really wants to get under Lakers skin he should hire Jeanie Buss who sounds like she is hardly around the Laker operations any more since Jim has gotten rid of anything related to Phil Jackson. She is actually pretty good and has a lot of marketing savvy. The Lakers are very vulnerable right now far beyond the Gasol trade drama.
I would never thought that I see and hear the day when the Lakers' front office is more dysfunctional than the Clippers
Jim Buss is another case of a spoiled brat son taking his parents’ fame and prestige and completely crap all over it. There’s James Dolan in New York, with all of the years of mishandling both the Knicks and Rangers…then there’s Jim Irsay in Indianapolis, where although he’s had tons of success taking over the reins of the Colts after his father’s death, he’s all but run Peyton Manning out of town. Even the fabled Yankees, under the new direction of the Boss’ sons, are practically run the same way as the present-day Lakers—trying to save money where they can.
