TJ Simers is so hit or miss
one day he is writing a good article and the next he is forcing words into Mo Williams mouth and now he has written a pretty decent article on Ralph. He needs to make up his mind on whether he is going to a professional or if he is going to continue to write junk so that we can ignore him.

An idea...
I think Clippers should honor Ralph before he retires. Clippers don’t have anything up in Staples; maybe we should have a banner for Ralph. He’s been with the franchise so long and honestly, besides a Championship banner, a banner/jersey honoring Ralph would mean so much to him, Jo, Clippers organization, and Clipper Nation.
Hengtime81 - February 13, 2012
I agree...
also, Bob McAdoo and Sam Cassell’s jerseys should be retired too.
82-0 - February 13, 2012
McAdoo maybe
awesome player, but technically not a “Clipper”…i have mad respect for the dude, but its very similar to the Lakers going “we want our banners from the MPLS days so we can say we are closer than we really are to the Celtics”
Cassell, most def! or someone just get a giant poster of him doing his big balls dance and hang it up in the rafters
KidJustin - February 13, 2012
Might as well retire World B. Free's jersey
He did have his best year as an SD Clipper.
Honestly Ralph should have a statue next to Chick Hearn. That would be a great tribute to the two greatest NBA announcers ever to call games.
I think once the Clippers get to a finals or win a championship then the retired jerseys and tributes will come.
Chris McD - February 14, 2012
why before he retires?
KidJustin - February 13, 2012
Just to have something that's Clipper related...
Everyone else who’s playing in Staples has a banner, we’re the only team that doesn’t. Ralph is a huge part of the franchise.
Hengtime81 - February 13, 2012
We will likely have a Pacific Division championship banner after this season
bestclipfan - February 13, 2012
I’d put something up for Ralph tomorrow. He’s been the pride of the franchise for the past decade.
McAdoo is a legend (you did see my avatar, right?), but he’s a Buffalo Braves legend.
I love Cassell, but he played just over two seasons worth of games for the franchise. That’s not enough to retire a jersey. Don’t be like that team in Turkey that retired D-Will’s jersey after he played 13 games for them this off-season. No one here wants to hear this, but Elton Brand has a better case for a retired Clipper jersey than Sam does.

I wish the NLP guys would have asked Closs being an alcoholic while in the nba. How did the coaches miss it? Ever played drunk? Good story. Glad he cleaned up his act…wish it would have been earlier in his life so he could have played a few yrs in the nba sober…
