Milicic, Anthony Tolliver, Luke Ridnour, I mean come on…are they somewhat talented sure but that does not make this loss any less worse? No because the Clippers lost this game plain and simple.
However some people are making it look like we lost to the worst team in the league and that’s just not even close to true, this Minny team could be a sleeper for the 8th seed and we were missing Paul,Butler and got Mo ejected who was playing pretty well also the refs were helping minny.
They have lost a lot of close games, they have a decent point diferential. Have defeat Dallas,San Antonio and come close on OKC, Miami and Memphis, they are not great but they are good.
besides Mo, there was almost no production from the bench in the 2nd half
by lack of effort, i was more eluding to the fact that we were settling for jumpers instead of taking it to the basket when Darko fouled out. that and defensive rotation was just horrible all day.

Most of it was chauncey “big shot billups” the couple times they fed the ball to griffin he got fouled or made a shot..
i thought Clippers defense was horrible, giving up 101 points and 29 in the 4th quarter. and i thought BG didn’t get any more balls in the post after Darko fouled out.
They played bad defense and pretty poor offense all game. Clippers just missed their shots and FTs, along with a few defensive rotations. Minnesota had the refs hold them in the game for the last 7 or 8 minutes then got saved at the end. My least favorite thing in the NBA is to watch games like that, where the better team clearly gives up the game without forcing the opponent to win it. The clippers had open shot after open shot in the 4th and just missed…

I think the key to having success as an NBA coach is to garner respect from your players. Many head coaches may have similar points of emphasis (I.E. defense and offense) but if the players dont respect you I dont think you can ever be succesful.
That being said…does Vinny Del Negro look like a coach that can lead a talented team to the promised land? I give him half the season before we start hearing reports of CP3 wanting him out of Clipperland

…which is not good. He just doesn’t have the look. Granted, one game is a pretty small sample size and I don’t think this years clips exactly need leadership with CP3 and Billups on the team but it’s something.
hes a good talker but not much else at times he looks flat out overwhelmed out there.
I doubt with a record of 8-5 and it being such a young season the vets would speak poorly of their coach. However, if this losing continues, which it will if we dont get better defensively all that will change.

besides Mo, there was almost no production from the bench in the 2nd half
by lack of effort, i was more eluding to the fact that we were settling for jumpers instead of taking it to the basket when Darko fouled out. that and defensive rotation was just horrible all day.

Completely undeserved win for minnesota
They played bad defense and pretty poor offense all game. Clippers just missed their shots and FTs, along with a few defensive rotations. Minnesota had the refs hold them in the game for the last 7 or 8 minutes then got saved at the end. My least favorite thing in the NBA is to watch games like that, where the better team clearly gives up the game without forcing the opponent to win it. The clippers had open shot after open shot in the 4th and just missed…

Note about coaching
I think the key to having success as an NBA coach is to garner respect from your players. Many head coaches may have similar points of emphasis (I.E. defense and offense) but if the players dont respect you I dont think you can ever be succesful.
That being said…does Vinny Del Negro look like a coach that can lead a talented team to the promised land? I give him half the season before we start hearing reports of CP3 wanting him out of Clipperland

…which is not good. He just doesn’t have the look. Granted, one game is a pretty small sample size and I don’t think this years clips exactly need leadership with CP3 and Billups on the team but it’s something.

I doubt with a record of 8-5 and it being such a young season the vets would speak poorly of their coach. However, if this losing continues, which it will if we dont get better defensively all that will change.
