Maloof Said The Kings Won't Trade Him
Kings co-owner Joe Maloof said before tipoff, “but we’re not trading him.”
I would love to see Cousins in Clippers uniform if they had someone who could handle his emotionality. However, I don’t see it happening.
Buddahfan - January 2, 2012
We DO have someone to control him emotionally, but
There will be better offers than whatever we have, especially because they don’t need a PG, and that’s honestly the only thing we would have to offer. Not to mention the one guy who I believe would control him would HAVE to be in the trade. That is Eric Bledsoe. Apparently, they are extremely close, so I would love to see them playing together; however, Kings don’t need anymore PG’s so there is no way we trade for him, because you know that other teams like GSW and Houston will throw some good looking offers on the table.
SurfinQ00 - January 2, 2012
bledsoe and cousins are buddies from their kentucky days
but i don’t think he’d want to come here even if we had the assets. he’s leaving the kings because of the crowded frontcourt and his lack of playing time, and he’d come off the bench here also
Dawool Huh - January 2, 2012
I believe they knew each other even before playing at Kentucky together.
They’re both from Alabama.
Lawler 4ever - January 3, 2012
Yeah
Apparently they have been playing together since they were young.
SurfinQ00 - January 3, 2012
I definitely don't want Cousins
he isn’t worth the risk and I’m not sure he would be happy coming off the bench anyways.
bestclipfan - January 2, 2012
I'm sure he won't be happy
Somebody on sactownroyalty compared him with Zach Randolph: once/if he puts it all together he’ll be good but it could take years and several teams for that to happen.
Let’s not go there. Too much of a risk.
BelgianClipper - January 2, 2012
Maybe if Cousins had a lobotomy would I consider him on the this team.
Guy has serious issues. He’s a cancer and a team killer.
tenkaistar - January 2, 2012
NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cousins is a first rate punk! Olshey would never damage the team chemistry for this guy. He has the maturity level of a spoiled sixth grader. I can’t believe he was drafted as high as he was.
The Clipps need someone whe will accept their role as a backup big man and that is not Cousins. Let someone else overpay for this problem child.
MySDClippers - January 2, 2012
Kelly Dwyer is an idiot
He said in his article about mo being announced as Chauncey that mo was already upset after the clippers traded for BARON DAVIS obviously he means Chris Paul
NoBandwagoners - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Obviously he made a mistake...
I must be an idiot as well.
John Raffo - January 2, 2012
IdiotNation, rise.
ganima - January 2, 2012
I had an idea when I was at last nights game
Foye should start over Chauncey and have Chauncey come in off the bench as PG and Mo come off the bench as SG. That way we have leadership and scoring power in our second unit.
I doubt Chauncey would be happy about that though…
Ricekrispy10 - January 2, 2012
and of course Chauncey would close out the games
with DJ, Chris, Blake and Caron :D
Ricekrispy10 - January 2, 2012
I think our rotation should include Caron in the 2nd team too.
Maybe we bench him earlier so he can play with the 2nd team, because he is perfectly fine doing iso 1 on 1. I would actually like to see that even more!
SurfinQ00 - January 2, 2012
And who would start at small forward if Caron comes off the bench?
it doesn’t matter I don’t like where you’re going with this!
ThaFoX - January 2, 2012 via Android app
He saying that Butler would still start.
He would just be subbed out sooner, so that he would be in with some of the reserves while Blake and Paul were resting.
Lawler 4ever - January 3, 2012
Stern needs to get Bynum and Cousins on the same team...as its leaders
that would be a pretty fun storyline to follow…

CP3 is taking Bled under his wing!!
ClipperBEAST - January 2, 2012
Maybe he can donate some court vision to Bledsoe
NewCavsfan - January 2, 2012
only if Bledsoe gives some of his speed to C.Paul
UC.Clipper - January 2, 2012
CP3 doesn't need much speed
his game is based off intelligence and an understanding of angles. All he needs is a quick burst to get by his initial defender, which he already has.
bestclipfan - January 2, 2012
That is why the team didn't include Bledsoe
and would probably be the best reason to keep him for a while. The more time he gets with CP3, Chaucey and Pack, the better he will be. Which will either make him a valuable piece for the team rather as a player or a trade piece.
mustang6944 - January 2, 2012
No, I say trade him!
bledsoe!
ThaFoX - January 2, 2012 via Android app
DJ Mbenga, Hilton Armstrong, Solomon Jones, and Dan Gadzuric were at the Clippers practice facility today
Mbenga would be my top choice- energetic and he is a full 7 feet.
The most skilled of them is probably armstrong, and I was impressed at how he defended D12 last year for the Hawks.
I wouldnt even mind signing 2 of them and then waiving Cook since I would take any of them over him.
NewCavsfan - January 2, 2012
gadzuric wouldn't be too bad
he’s big and scrappy, and i can deal with that
Dawool Huh - January 2, 2012
The only problem with waiving Cook to pick up 2 of them
is it cuts into the teams cap space. Using the trade exception and 2.5 cap exception will take the team over the salary cap as is. Clips need to use one (really both) to fortify a very bad bench.
ClipperChuck - January 2, 2012
clippers signed solomon jones!
ThaFoX - January 2, 2012 via Android app
Wow... CP3 is all class
I know it’s pretty old but it’s still nice to see.
ClipperBEAST - January 2, 2012
The Heat commentators
refer themselves to be Lob City East :l
Pawn - January 2, 2012
At least they know it.
We’re Lob City. Period. Not West. No nothing. They could be the Lob City knockoffs if they want.
cliptakular - January 2, 2012
+1
Dawool Huh - January 2, 2012
hmm can we steal
Heatles. Clips can be the Clipples…. errr n/m that might be too close to cripples for my taste.

Heat are horrible.
